Mental Health Rehab Worker

AHL HealthCare Group has opened an Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) facility and is seeking a few part-time Mental Health Rehabilitative Workers (MHRW) to join our team. MHRW work to support our residents in various ways.

Hours of Position: Days, evenings, or overnights
Day Shift: 8:00am-4:00pm, including every other weekend
Evening Shift: 4:00pm-Midnight including every other weekend
Overnight Shift: Midnight-8:00am, including every other weekend

Compensation: $16.00-$17.50/hour

Qualifications:

  • Ability to multitask. Strong communicator.
  • Enjoys conducting groups. Effective team member.
  • Ability to pass MVR check, maintain a valid driver’s license, insurance, and maintain background check clearance
  • Prior Leadership experience preferred
  • Prior IRTS Experience Preferred

Must qualify as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker:
Course Work Qualification Set

  • High School Diploma, Associates Degree or two years post-secondary education or a total of 15 semester hours AND
  • 30 hours of training in the following: recipient rights, recipient-centered ITP, Behavioral terminology, MI, co-occurring, psychotropic meds, functional assessment, community resources, adult vulnerability, and recipient confidentiality

Life Experience Qualification Set, (within the last 10 years)

  • 3 years personal life experience serious & persistent MI OR
  • 3 years personal life experience as primary care giver to adult serious & persistent MI, TBI, SUD, or DD

OR

  • 2000 hours supervised paid work experience in delivery of adult MI or TBI services OR
  • Fluent in non-English language that 20% of recipients belong to
  • Receives monthly documented clinical supervision by MHP during first 2000 hours of employment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and following the person-centered, positive practice behavior support plan / ITP for individuals to maintain or improve areas of independent living such as symptom management, budgeting, maintaining services, meal prep/planning, employment, etc.
  • General knowledge of social services, record keeping, reporting requirements and confidentiality
  • Ability to create and follow ITP plans set up for clients and uses creative ways to encourage participation
  • Objectively and professionally document progress with the client at the end of your shift
  • Regularly travel in the community, transport clients, and assure safe vehicle operation including all passengers wearing a seatbelt, respecting speed limits, following agency policy, maintaining current car insurance, and possessing a valid driver’s license at all times
